CEMETERY WALK, Sunday October 15, 1-3 pm
Tours will leave from the museum at 5 minute intervals. The focus of the walk is World War I, “The War to End All Wars”.
Men and women from Dundee Township played an important role in the effort to end the oppression in Europe. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet with some of those heroic residents and hear their stories
A donation of $5 per person is appreciated.
“THE WAR TO END ALL WARS” Sunday, 10/22, 4-8pm
The Historical Society will present a special program at the V.F.W. Post 2298 Hall, located at 117 South First Street in West Dundee.
“The War to End All Wars” is the story of the men from Dundee, Carpentersville, Elgin, Algonquin and the surrounding area who served in Company E 129th Infantry.
Tickets are $10.00 per person and price includes a war era dinner, program, raffles, music and more. Tickets are on sale at Piece-A-Cake Bakery, 304 N River St, East Dundee and the museum.
HISTORIC SITES, Sunday 11/5, 2pm
On Sunday, November 5th at 2pm the Historic Sites Committee will present plaques to area homeowners whose homes meet the criteria of being 100 years or older and have retained the original appearance.
The program will include the history of original and early homeowners of the residences, if known, as well as identifying period architectural design.
Members and the general public are invited to attend.
DICKENS OF A CHRISTMAS SALE, Saturday 12/2, 9am-4pm
The sale will be held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church located at 410 W. Main St. in West Dundee.
New, gently used, and vintage Christmas items sold at reasonable prices.
